Shipping Rates

All orders will be processed in GBP.

5 GBP (flat fee)
Free (orders above 100 GBP)

🌍 Shipping to:
USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, United Arab Emirates

35 GBP (flat fee)
Free (orders above 500 GBP)

Note: Tax, import fees and duties not included.

Delivery time

We use different couriers for express shipping, depending on the customer country. We will process your order within 1-2 business days. At that time you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number/link. Expect to receive your order in about 2-5 business days, depending on the area of the world you live in. We ship our knives from Horley located near London.

Uniqueness of products

All knives in our store are handmade from natural materials. Slight variations in colour, texture, weight and other dimensions are possible, a specially regarding the vintage porcelain. We try to give a good photographic representation of our products, however computer screen resolution and colours do vary so products might not look exactly as they are seen on screen.

International (Non-UK) orders

For international orders outside of the UK, your order may be subject to VAT, import and/or tax duties, which are levied once your package reaches your country. We ship your package DDU, “duties and taxes unpaid”, and we do not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur these additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. For more information regarding your country’s customs policies, please contact your local customs office.

Shiping & Returns Guide

Returns

General

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If more than 30 days have gone by since the day you received your order, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and you need to include the original receipt.

Please send us an email at: support@kamimoto.co in case you would like to return/replace purchased products.

Knives that have been purchased with Honbazuke (first sharpening) on your demand by our master sharpener are not eligible for refund. This also includes items specially pre-ordered for You.

We carefully inspect every item before we send it to you, but it is out of our reach if something happens during transport. In case of defective products, we will exchange or refund you the full amount (if we don’t have another piece in stock), including shipping fees.

Since we are a small company we can’t offer a free return shipping at this time.

Cancelations

Before we process your order (it takes about 1-2 business days), you can cancel it and get a full amount refund, including shipping costs. Simply reply to our order confirmation email or email us at: support@kamimoto.co.

Once your order is processed (meaning: shipping label is generated), you can still cancel your order, however you will first need to receive your ordered items (or just not to accept the package) and then send them back to us to receive a refund (you will be charged for the initial shipping).

For orders with free shipping we will subtract 5 GBP.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and:

- for returns (meaning: orders shipped) a store credit will be applied to your account or we will issue a coupon for that amount

- for cancelled orders (meaning: no shipping label was issued) we will refund the full amount with the initial payment method.

Exchanges

We carefully examine every product before it is shipped, but we can’t guarantee if products get damaged during transportation. This is why you should inspect the package when it arrives and write a report with the shipping company in case of any damage. This would be the ground to move forward with the exchange of damaged items.

Return Address

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the received items were damaged during transport. To receive a full refund you need to send us a scan of the protocol written with the courier upon receiving the damaged package.

You can ship your items to our office with your preferred service. You need to use a services that provides a trackable parcel  service with shipping insurance, as we can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item(s).
